Introduction Tomas tends to be rather pessimistic about life or as he says "realistic". Tomas is a person of very strong emotions. He is quite sensitive to ridicule as he was bullied in school. Tomas is a rather material person. He tends to have old electronics in his room, he thinks they are useful and swears he is no hoarder. Tomas is a rather stubborn person, this can especially be seen when someone tries to tell him how to do something that he thinks he knows how to do. Even though he is stubborn he will normally back down from someone if he feels they are physically stronger than him. He is a great listener, probably because he can't talk without some sort of aid, but perhaps its genuine interest. Despite the fact that he likes listening to people he is not a very social person, he doesn't like big crowds of people he much prefers the company of a single person or himself. He doesn't tend to pick fights and will generally do anything he can to avoid getting in any kind of fight with another person. Even if he were to get into a fight he is not a very good fighter He has a kinda negative opinion on humans since being bullied, though I'm sure he could be convinced to see the good in humanity. Thou hes not really worried about the greater world, more himself. Description about 5' 7" Small build. shorter black hair. He is mute, thou he uses his phone to type and say things to people. He is generally dressed in a band t-shirt. He also wears black cargo pants or trip pants and black combat boots. If the weather permits he will wear a leather jacket, or sometimes a black hoodie. He is almost always wearing earbuds at least one in his left ear, this helps him think. He always wears a wedding ring around a necklace. This can also be specific to their faction (maybe they're class clown at their school!) or specific to a niche field (maybe you'd have heard of them if you know a lot about particle physics or cross country skiing, but not otherwise!) History Tomas was born in Denver, Colorado to Martha Ferris and Jack Lewis. His father left before he was born and he was raised by his mother, she did her best to raise him, she kept up two jobs just to have the money to support him. He never could talk and when he was 4 he was diagnosed with Autism, accounting for his nonverbally. When he was enrolled in elementary school the school put him in special ed classes this is where he learned ASL. As he better learned to communicate via ASL and was able to articulate his thoughts, he began to excel at school, and surpassed his peers, despite his disability. When he was 12 his mother was killed by a drunk driver, she was on her way home from her waitress job when he hit her killing her instantly. Since his father was gone he was adopted by his aunt Regina, who lived in Boulder, Colorado, Regina was much better off then Tomas' mother, so Tomas lived a better life while he was with her, she was not rich but she was a lawyer so she made good money. He attended public school and when he started Jr High he attended the normal classes and would always get good grades, often the other kids would bully him for being a nerd and a mute. His powers began to manifest over the past few months, these have been little things like lights flickering or static in a TV, things he'd think nothing of. However one day when he was at home he was tinkering with his computer, and becoming frustrated with the fact he could get it to work. He got extremely frustrated and this resulted in the powers acting up, and his computer’s fans began to spin so fast that they burned out and several LEDs shattered, which frustrated him more, so angrily unplugged the machine and this caused another flux in his power and knocked out power to his house, and also resulted in him passing out. About a week later his aunt got an Email that Her Nephew was accepted to Xavier’s school for gifted Youngsters in New York, his aunt was more then willing to send him and pay for tuition to such a prestigious school, she was easily able to move to New York, as her friend had a law firm out there. The two of them packed up and His aunt rented a small apartment in uptown Manhattan. Tomas is now on his way to start his new life as a student at the school. Powers Technology Manipulation: Tomas can manipulate electronics, this can be anything from projecting his voice into a sound system to breaking into a computer system. His power (currently) requires him to be in physical contact with the device’s circuits, though he can accomplish this with a frayed wire wrapped around his hand and jacked into the device. Skin to circuit contact is usually achieved by hooking his watch into a system or if needed he can just rip open a computer and touch the motherboard. His power effectively allows him to become a component of the device. Once jacked into a computer he could unlock it or access secure files, this would be based on the security of the machine, a basic windows machine he could bypass that with ease however if the system was more advanced it might take him more time and be more straining. If he is hooked into a computer he can make it faster(overclocking) however this takes time and will strain him. If the computer he is hooked into is connected to a network he can access the other computers on the network just as someone who was hacking into a computer through normal means could, however the more machines he is logged into the more it strains him. This could potentially work both ways, in that security programs within the system could harm him. He If he has encountered a machine before or a similar system he will generally have better luck interacting with it,. If he is hooked into a machine he may be able to utilize its processing power, this might allow him to make quicker decisions or think faster then average. Technology empathy: when he is hooked into a system the system's status, be it health, come across to him as emotions or illness. If he is near a failing system he may suddenly feel as if he is hurting, or even get knocked out. As of right now he doesn't understand this ability and is more a hindrance. Cyberkinesis: He can telepathically control basic electronics, like he could turn on and off lights, he could project his voice into a sound system, though this power is very underdeveloped and most of the time he will just blow out the device. This power is limited to about 10 feet at maximum if he where to learn to control it. This power is currently more a side effect then a usable power. His ability is limited to his own understanding of a device. He has to understand the device on a mundane level, before hes able to integrate with it. Thou he is versed in computer programming, and he tinkers with electronic, so most concepts come easy. More advanced systems would be impossible for him to do more then just fry them with his power. He cant make an devise do anything it is not mechanically able to do, ea. he could not talk through a devise that does not have a speaker. He also can't provide power to a device. The amount of time his power works depends on what he is doing with it if he is just turning on and off lights or opening doors he would generally be fine however if he is hacking into a server that would drain him quite a bit. His cyberkinesis acts up when he is hurt or angry, this manifests in the form of lights flickering or blowing out or pa systems omitting screams before blowing out, this can also happen if he has strained himself to much Skills He is very good at computer repair even without his power and an expert at jury rigging things to work. He also is an expert in C based codes, c++ c# and java and generally it is quite easy for him to learn a new programming language.
