Dramatis Personae Hank	2013-03-10 Dr. McCoy's analysis of a strange new compound is interrupted.

[The following are logs from Doctor Henry McCoy's personal recorder.] RECORDER (3-5-2013): March 5th, 2013, 1325 hours. I have been asked to analyze an unknown chemical compound by a student. Per their request, I am keeping their name in confidence. The sample consists of two cylindrical brass cartridges, approximately 15 centimeters in length and 5 centimeters in width; a small nozzle is fitted on one end. The contents are under extraordinary pressure. I will run some preliminary tests tomorrow. RECORDER (3-6-2013): March 6th, 2013, 0815 hours. Initial analysis is difficult. The chemical compound evaporates after approximately an hour after exposure to air. Its composition is apparently a liquid, but reverts to a solid almost immediately after exposure to air. Upon solidifying, it 'sticks' to any substance it has contact with -- with extraordinary tenacity. Interesting. RECORDER (3-6-2013): 0923 hours. I seem to have glued my feet to the ceiling. RECORDER (3-6-2013): 1005 hours. While the 'glue' remains solid for nearly an hour, its strength rapidly declines shortly after the thirty minute mark. Also, I am prescribing myself 500 milligrams of ibuprofen. RECORDER (3-6-2013): 1105 hours. Remarkable. The compound is actually a type of protein enzyme. Similar, perhaps, to a spider's web -- but not quite the same. It /may/ be possible to synthesize. Further tests are required. RECORDER (3-8-2013): March 8th, 2013, 0825 hours. I had intended to return to this fascinating subject sooner -- but I have only now remembered that my hands were promised elsewhere. I expect the med-lab will soon be full of many who require my immediate attention. Further tests will have to wait. RECORDER (3-9-2013): We apparently have a dragon.
