{{Tab}}On public record: Her father retired as a Brigadier General from the US Air Force Intelligence Service. While stationed in England, he met and married her mother. The family moved back to the United States before Alice began university. She attended and graduated from Harvard Law School with a Master of Laws, and was hired by the US State Department immediately following graduation. Alice has been married once and divorced once; there were no children. Ten years ago she was offered the position of Diplomat in Residence for New York State.
