"I did think that seemed like a lot of television," plays Heather, nodding thoughtfully. "I did not watch this kind of show when I was young. My dad said what we had was so much better than television." She shrugs lightly a couple of times quickly at that. Her lips form a line for a moment and she records a second time, "Those people are wrong. You are not an animal. Unless you want to be a bear. Then you can borrow this outfit." She smiles just slightly at that, but her expression returns quickly to its normal twitchy-flat. "Do you want a sandwich?"

The goat girl watches Heather quietly, her eyebrows pinching together in a slight fashion as she listens to her friend. Though her ears twitch, she does not appear to know how to respond to the mention of Heather's father. Eventually she offers, "I am -- my apologies that your father did bad things. I ... uh ... " Swallowing, Paige lets herself trial off as she leans forwards and hunches her shoulders inwards. "I would like to be a bear. It would be better than being a goat. I could be scary and intimidating." She does not make a statement as to the accuracyt of 'those peoples'' statements. "A sandwich would be nice. Is there anything I can get you?"

"You could be a bear if you wanted."

Location

<NYC> {Teamhaus} - Harbor Commons - Lower East Side

The right side opens up to a modern kitchen with cherry wood cabinets and steel countertops forming a corner against the close and right walls. This cooking area is fitted with modern appliances, among them being an over-the-counter microwave, a dishwasher, an electric stove, a refrigerator, and an oven. Opposite the kitchen is the dining room, accessed by a pair of narrow French doors. Walls of frosted glass panes, framed by stained wood and a diagonal slat slanting downwards towards the doors, separate the area from the rest of the unit. Long, vertical wooden boards stained dark comprise the rest of the walls in the unit.

A small hallways leads from the entrance towards the back with a closet on the left and a bathroom on the right. Although the rest of the unit has beautiful hardwood flooring, the bathroom floor is tiled. It has the usual porcelain fixtures - a sink, a bathtub, a toilet - but also contains a separate shower stall made of steel and glass. On the left of the hallway is a closet containing a decent amount of storage space along with a washing machine and dryer.

The hallway ends as it began, opening up into the same layout as the entrance, though flipped. To the right is the bedroom, concealed by the same frosted glass walls as the dining room with a single door of the same fashion as the walls. The left side holds a living room. Curtained windows along the back wall allow light to stream into the area.

The sun has gone down and Teamhaus' living room is dimly lit by the flickering glow of the television. Resting upon the couch, head propped up by throw pillows on one end, Paige appears to be fairly immersed in the scene unfolding before her. A soft blanket has been pulled over her head and horns and is tucked behind her ears. As the Doctor, Bill, and Godsacre are ushered into a holding cell, her lips curl into a small smile before the Doctor expectedly bemoans the fact that the door is made of wood.

There is a squeak from the bedroom as Heather wakes up for the fifth time in the day and launches herself out of bed. Pit-pat-pit-pat-ssssst! She zooms out and slides on the soft feet of a onesie which looks like it might be in the style of a koala. "Do not worry. I am not actually a bear," she plays on the recorder reassuringly. She lets out a bit of a squeaky yawn and gazes towards the television. "You are watching the television?"

The people on the television freeze in place and their dialogue stops as the recorded episode is paused. The couch lets out a small squeaky leather groan as Paige sits up and turns to face her roommate. She blinks and squints at Heather in the dim light before manuevering to turn on a nearby lamp. "I ... didn't think you were?" the goat girl replies, amused smile still playing on her face and growing a bit larger. "I mean, if you were, I would not have a problem with you being a bear." There's a pause as her ears twitch. "You could be a bear if you wanted. And, yeah, I'm watching Doctor Who." Sparing a brief glance back to the television, she adds, "But it's, uh, not sped up. S--Apologies."

"I just needed to make certain. Animal control is expensive," remarks Heather. She takes another few careful steps before sitting down on the couch, carefully. "I did not expect it to be sped up. Nobody speeds things up. But if you put on the subtitles I can read it. Like a slow book with pictures." She rests her plush-paw covered hands on her lap and leans forward. "Who is your favourite Doctor Who?" She pauses to explain, as if it needs saying: "There are lots of Doctor Whos."

"Is it? So many people threaten to call animal control on me. I never really ... thought about how expense it would be, you know? And there's only -one- -Doctor-." Paige's correction is swift and firm. Gesturing to Peter Capaldi on screen, she says, "He is the Doctor. The Doctor has been played by many actors, but he is always the same person. Kind of. Well, not really? I mean ... each Doctor has his own personal -- you know what? It'd probably be easier if you just watched the show. I don't think I can explain it well enough. As for my favorite ..." Here she purses her lips together and her ears flick back in thought. "That is a tough question. They are all excellent. I haven't seen all of the old series, though, so I cannot made judgments on those Doctors. I don't know," she remarks with a shrug. "Matt Smith is handsome, David Tennant is cute, and Peter Capaldi is a super huge Doctor Who fan. I think it kind of depends on the writing. But if I had to go with one ... I would say Matt Smith. Though most people seem to say David Tennant."

"I do not think I will watch the show. Maybe I will see an episode or two in the background. I read that it was on TV for more than fifty years. That's two hundred and fifty years. I do not have that kind of time," plays Heather, shaking her head and gesturing to the two watches that she has strapped to the outside of the onesie. "My favourite Doctor Who is the one with the long scarf. Because the scarf looks like it is warm. He seems very practical. That's the kind of Doctor Who that I would be on a team with." She pauses for a moment and asks, "Who is threatening to call animal control on you? We should play a mean joke on them."

Paige is not doing well in suppressing her highly amused smile and escaping bursts of giggles. "Heather," she begins, only to be interrupted by one such fit. "Heather, it -- it's not -- It hasn't been on -continuously- for fifty years. They're not -- it's not like -- " Another spurt, a deep breath. "There is not fifty years of the -show-, of -episodes-. Each episode is like forty-five minutes long without commercials. And there's ... Well, I don't know how many episodes there are, but there are -definitely- not -nearly- enough to fill up fifty -years- worth of time. That's not -- That's not how it works."

A large, large grin is on her face. "And I think you mean Tom Baker. You have good taste. Many people seem to think he is the best Doctor. But Peter Capaldi wears sonic sunglasses. They block the sun -and- can do a very large number of various tasks. How's -that- for practical?" The horned mutant is silent before she appears to recall her roommate's other question. Taking another deep breath, she scratches at an eyebrow and looks off to the side. "People. Just ... people." Her jaw hardens slightly.

I could be scary and intimidating." She does not make a statement as to the accuracy of ' those peoples' ' statements. "A sandwich would be nice. Is there anything I can get you?"

Heather tilts her head slightly at Paige's apology for her father but otherwise does not react to the statement. The speedster hops up to her feet and plays, "Turn on the subtitles. If there are any. You can stay there. I will make sandwiches." She gives a bear-thumb up and then zooms off to the kitchen area.
