Introduction xxxxxWhat is this faction/organization? Who are they? What is their purpose? Reputation xxxxxWhat (if anything) might others have heard about this organization? It is okay if this is 'nothing'; it is also good to specify if they have a reputation but only within a niche field -- for example, maybe it's very likely mutants know about them but they are relatively unknown to humans, or only known among a certain profession or social class, etc. It's possible that different groups know entirely different things about them, and if so, name that as well! Structure xxxxxWhat does the internal structure of the group look like. For example, do they have a strict hierarchy with a lot of rules? Are they more just a loose-knit affiliation bound by some kind of ethos? Are they literally a corporate office with a handbook to follow? Is there One Charismatic Leader at the top who makes all the rules? Spaces xxxxxAre there any actual physical locations that belong to this faction, and if so, what are those like? Do they have a clubhouse? Secret island somewhere? Swanky boarding school? Underground sewer lair? Network of safehouses? What are those locations used for in the group? Are those locations restricted in access, or can outsiders get in? Recruitment xxxxxWhat should players know about joining this faction? ICly, what are the ways that characters typically become associated with the group? Is it possible to simply approach them and say you want to join, do you need to wait to be invited in, and if so, what are the usual things they are looking for in their recruits? Are there qualities that are mandatory in a member that a player should keep in mind, if they are making a character aimed at this faction? xxxxxWhat are things people should know before committing to this faction -- ICly, can people easily come and go without significant consequence? Do they treat leaving as desertion/security risk/threat and will leaving the group need to be navigated carefully? Roster List the PCs in this faction and, if relevant, their roles/ranks/positions. Particularly noteworthy NPCs can be listed here, too.
