Description
|
xxxxxThis diner, though very new, has modeled itself in the throwback style of Salem Center's main drag. Black and white checkerboard floor underfoot, steel stools cheerfully upholstered in bright red vinyl, brushed chrome tables both standalone or in the booths that line the walls. The servers are impossibly perky, the jukebox only plays oldies, and the seats at the long counter also often include conversation with the very chatty soda jerk manning the fountain there. The smells of fried food and fresh coffee generally fill the air.

Notes & Trivia
|
- The owner is actually a former Xavierite, graduated about ten years ago. She didn't actually come back here for any reasons to do with the school and though longterm Xavierites will certainly recognize her (she's very recognizable, with her long-clawed hands and black-and-green-scaled skin and bubbly personality) she doesn't talk much about her time at the school.
- At least, she doesn't talk much about her time at the school to anyone who looks human. She will occasionally indulge more monstrous looking students with an ear, if they seem like they need someone to talk to.
- She is quite gregarious and will talk people's ears off about plenty of other subjects, though, including but not limited to cooking, the proper care of dogs, the proper care of children, white-water rafting, Star Wars, automotive repair, stars (the kind in the sky), stars (the kind in Hollywood), geology, classical music, classic rock, US history, and coffee.
