Alejandro meets the Lupei Twins

Location

Busboys and Poets - East Harlem

It's the beginning of the aftern- actually it is about noon, so nevermind. Spring is here, but it's still rather cold, nearing fifty degrees F. Busboys and Poets is getting quite a few people due to breaks and the like, or because they want coffee. Which is exactly what the Lupei twins want. Nicoleta and Toma enter the coffee shop, Nicoleta first as usual, as she chatters something to her twin in their native language of Romanian. So, so, do you think I could sell my story? We'd be, like rich. Billion dollars, fancy ass fucking mansion, gold toilets.. Toma just frowns, a small shake of his head as they enter line. And deported. Don't forget.. Nicoleta just /laughs/ at this, a grin on her face. I thought that's the best part?.

Toma and Nicoleta are slighty matching today. Twin grey jackets, Nicoleta's ripped black jeans and Toma's unripped black jeans, up until shirts atleast. Toma is wearing a gray t-shirt over his lanky torso, whilst Nicoleta has chosen to stop flaunting her waist bandages, a full tanktop over them, but they could be seen jutting a bit. She does have her entire left arm bandaged, however, which..is the norm.

Not far from the twins, Alejandro is coming to the coffee shop as well. Between in and out traffic, he finds himself holding a door for the moment and doesn't quite catch the entering conversation of the twins. Though, he doesn't speak Romanian anyways, so whatever he does catch is literally lost in translation as there is presently none. He wears a fitting, slightly faded dark brown jacket over dark t-shirt and fitting blue jeans. Tucked in even with belt buckle on display on all.

He does, however catch the laugh, from the female, and notice the frown, from the male. Not one to bother much with personal space or conversation, he steps in behind them towards the line. Natural itself, the interjection comes when he interrupts. "You two are family, no?" His voice rolls thick with the accent of middle spain, but is easily understandable to most, it comes with smile from the man.

The twins aren't identical, but they definitely look related. Toma's nodding towards the man, his frown fading into nothing, whilst Nicoleta grins at him. "We're twins. I'm the cooler one. He's the..less cooler one.". Toma just frowns again, as he comments to Alejandro. "We're non identical, but yeah, we're twins. Nice day, isn't it?". The line extends. Toma's accent is most definitely pure Romanian, whilst Nicoleta's is a bastardization of American and Romanian, as Nicoleta replies to what Toma says with a grunt. "No, it's not. It's fucking cold, supposed to be /spring/. Where the fuck is my sun, huh, spring?".

"Ah," says Alejandro with some realizations, whether from realizing their own step more than relating by being twins, or in that the weather has robbed the day of spring, is anyones guess at first. "Si, si. A cold day in spring is no good. Though it is a nice day," agreement given more to Toma it would seem. "Better than a cold day in fall, that only promises the coming winter. Cold in spring is just, winter having a hard time letting go. We should make our own spring, no?"

"If you're suggesting we get flamethrowers I a-". Nicoleta's reply is /quickly/ interrupted by her more reasonable half, who interjects quickly. "No.". Nicoleta frowns, as Toma replies to Alejandro again as the line continues to move. "Tomorrow's supposed to get a bit warmer. I kind of like the cold, though. It's always either cold or raining in Bucharest this time of year.". Nicoleta interjects onto /this/. "And a shithole, too."

With a smile that doesn't seem to fade, Alejandro raises his brows and nods to the flamethrower idea without commenting on it, like a shared jape or something - flamethrowers would be warmer for certain at least. "So, you are glad to be out of that ... shithole," he directs to Nicoleta, then back towards Toma, "And you long to return, to the cold and rain of Bucharest?" HE might have more conversation but doesn't overrun the conversation, instead moving forward with them and watching curiously to see how each might respond.

Toma shrugs, replying slowly. "Sometimes I miss it. But we came here for a reason.". Nicoleta, however, is nodding enthusiastically. "Hell yeah. When your dad is an abusive millionaire CEO who gives a shit about nothing but his lin-". Toma is quickly interjecting, as they end up next on line. "Nico...anyways, this is us. Nice talking to you. I'm Toma, and this is Nicoleta.". Toma orders a machiatto whilst Nicoleta gets a nice old concotion of sugar and death, a small grin from her as they part. "I'll get to work on making my own spring.".

Lost between the back and forth of the twins before he can interject again, Alejandro remains mostly smiles. "Ah, let me know when you have your spring then, I shall be intrigued to see the results." A slight chuckle as they seem ready to part. "I am Alejandro, the pleasure was mine." He orders a cold coffee with sugar and milk, as its from a public place, it comes with all the ice and watered down, but better than hot coffee for him. "Hopefully I have not kept you from your reason for coming here for too long this morning."
