Location

<XS> Front Gate

Situated along the long sweep of Greymalkin Lane, offset from the quiet hamlet of Salem Center, the Xavier Institute is a prestigious boarding school for young minds. Set on more than forty acres of carefully cultivated land, the mansion is not visible from the road. What can be seen are the rolling hills, forested grounds, and the sparkling blue of the large clear lake. The drive is gated, a small brick enclosure housing the security guard on duty to ID and vet visitors to the school.

The sun has gone down, again. For once, though, Anole seems unbothered by this -- less skittish than in previous days, or perhaps he's just too /exhausted/ to properly show it. His clothing is spattered with gore and grime, his steps dragging, but there's a grim sort of satisfaction in his expression as he makes his way back up towards the school.

Though similarly fouled, Nick's steps do not drag quite so much. He lopes alongside Anole, the machete in his hand resting on one shoulder, oozing more blood onto his black t-shirt. His other hand is braced on the hilt of a bowie knife sheathed at his hip. One of his ears droops slightly where it was bitten, the other standing erect and swiveling to and fro.

Taylor's multitude of weapons are all but one sheathed -- a /ring/ of knives, both bone and metal, hanging around his belt, a crowbar at his back; he still holds his bow in one hand, though. /He's/ oozing blood -- several of his tentacles are missing, thick blue ichor congealing where they've been severed. For all this, though, he has a certain swagger to his step as they return.

The school grounds are quiet, no shuffle of unsteady footsteps or rattling groans. Instead, a calm crisp voice sounds, clear and present as if there beside them. << Gentlemen. >> Professor Xavier's tone is mild. << My office, please. >> There's a slight pause. << After, perhaps, the showers. >>
