Dramatis Personae Nicoleta and Toma, Tess	2013-12-01 The Lupei twins meet Tess, Nicoleta is still Nicoleta.
Location <NYC> East Harlem
With the highest violent crime rate in Manhattan and a failing educational system, it is easy to overlook the charms of El Barrio. Amidst its problems, East Harlem is a place thriving with culture. Salsa dancing has a rich history in the neighborhood, and in the open-air markets a wide assortment of goods can be bought from the West African community there. Tess is sitting on top of a clearly long-abandoned car, it's so damaged it could hardly be more damaged by someone sitting on top. She is watching the people pass by without seeming to be all that interested, though she observes them all. Walking by are the Lupei twins, Toma and Nicoleta. As they walk by, chatting in Romanian, Nicoleta stops, resting against the car and not even noticing Tess, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it. < All I'm saying is, John McClane is clearly the best action hero, I don't give a fuck about that shitty Terminator bullshit even though the 2nd was pretty decent. >. Toma looks like he's going to respond, before he spots Tess. < Uh, Nicoleta, I think there's someone on top of the car. >. Nicoleta turns around, spots Tess, and then turns back, taking a drag of the cigarette. < I don't give a fuck. > Tess rolls her eyes as the twins start talking in Romanian right next to her. "You know, if you're having a conversation right in front of somone, you might want to be polite and speak in a language she has a decent chance of being able to understand." She stares at the two, "Or at least get out of my sight, I'm trying to look at people here." Tess's attitude instantly pisses Nicoleta off, as Toma mouths 'Apologies' to Tess. Nicoleta then goes into a bit of a storm. "Well excuse me, princess, didn't know you owned this area. I'll kindly obey you and get out of your fucking sight, when hell freezes over that is.". She takes another drag of the cigarette, before tossing it behind her, at Tess. Tess stares at the cigarette, it's out before it hits her hand, as she catches and crumples it. She then looks to Nicoleta, slowly decreasing the temperature around what skin the woman exposes, of course it was rather cold to begin with. "Oh, I'm sure hell will freeze over soon." As Toma watches this, he quickly shouts over to Tess. "Oh god I think that was a bad idea, I'm so s- that word for what is about to go down.". On queue, as Nicoleta feels her skin cool, she's removing a switchblade from her pocket, pointing it both at herself and Tess in a sort of threatening manner. "Bitch, that was a pretty bad idea. You're in for a world of hurt.". In seconds, she's cutting through her skin, blood flying, and then stopping in mid air. Really, now? Tess steps back, doing her very best to freeze that floating blood, pumping in a fairly large amount to cool it down. She lands on the other side of the car, but she's not quite running away, maybe yet. "Chill out." By now, people have begun avoiding the area, as things look to be getting violent. Even with the blood freezing, Nicoleta still has a control over it, as it is still blood, but Toma grabs her arm. < We need to go, before the police or something show up. > Nicoleta groans, as the blood falls to the ground, shattering. Nicoleta turns to Tess. "Well, fuck you, guess you win this time bitch." Of course, this whole thing has ruined Tess's whole point of watching, too. So she starts to walk off, into some kind of alley. She walks quickly, but is definitely not running, muttering to herself, "Why did I do that?" The twins themselves are actually speeding up, to avoid the law finding them. They eventually vanish into an alleyway, before heading home.
